Pink Glove

I love this! What a fun way to promote breast cancer awareness, especially for those of us that work at a hospital. Make sure you have your speakers turned up!

Thanksgiving at Work

Every holiday our office holds a luncheon. This year it was "Gobble until you Wobble". Each person signs up to bring a certain item. We had more food and desserts than we knew what to do with. We all certainly gobbled until we wobbled out of there.

Happy Thanksgiving

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Phil. 4:6)

We are heading the mountains to spend the holiday with my family at the cabin. Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!

Taylor's Bachelorette Party

Again, a little late on getting these on the blog but better late than never.

About 9 girls headed to Charlotte on November 14 for a night of fun around the EpiCentre. If you have never visited the EpiCentre, you should certainly check it out. Fun side note: We had some of our engagement pictures taken there! It is a really neat area and has everything you could possibly need. To make it even easier, we all stayed at the ALoft hotel, which is located right in the center of the action.

After getting checked into the hotel, we all meet up for dinner at Harper's Grill for a great meal and a few drinks.

The group
Flank Steak Salad
Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Pimento Mac-n-Cheese

After dinner we headed back to the hotel to get Taylor ready to go out and change into our shirts for the evening. We also played a few games and received a few favors (Kate Aspen, of course!).
For a night of fun, our first stop was to Whisky River where a live band was playing. And then to The Suite, where we sang and danced the night away. We finished the late night with a slice of pizza and called it a night. It was a fun time in Charlotte for Taylor's bachelorette party.

Taylor's Bridal Shower

I am a little behind on posting theis but October and November have been insanely busy for the Moore household.
Taylor's (my brothers fiance) bridal shower on Halloween. We all had a great time and they received many beautiful gifts. Taylor's Maid and Matron of Honor's really outdid themselves on this shower.

Ice Skating

We haven't been ice skating in years. Saturday we met up with some of Brian's work people and enjoyed an afternoon of "trying our hardest not to face plant on the ice" err, I mean, ice skating. And I am happy to report that neither of us fell. Can't wait to do it again!

Love, Sweet Love

2009 has been a great year. It's been the year of engagements and weddings. Seeing two people join their life together in the presence of family, friends and most importantly, the Lord, is such a beautiful thing. Here's a quick run down of all the weddings and engagements of 2009!

Wedding #1: OURS!!! Lynsey and Brian - October 3- Winston Salem, NC

Wedding #2: Colleen and Keith - November 7 - Greensboro, NC

Colleen and I have been best friends for 15 years! It was a true honor to stand by her side and witness her marry her soul mate.

Wedding #3: Zach and Taylor - December 5- Winston Salem, NC

Zach is my big brother. Brian and I are both honored to be a part of his big day! Zach and I have always been close and it will be a truly joyous day.

Wedding #4: Brian and Jennifer - December 5 - Asheboro, NC

I have been friends with Brian since high school. We worked together as lifeguards during the summer of 2001. We hate we will miss his wedding as we will be at my brothers but we know it will be absolutely beautiful!

Wedding #5: JT and Adrienne - December 18 - Charlotte, NC

JT and I were buddies at Appalachian State. JT is one of the sweetest guys you will ever meet. He would do anything for his friends. I wish him all the best in his marriage and I can't wait to see pictures from their wedding.

Engagements of 2009

1. Bobby and Libby

Bobby and I have known each other since elementary school!!! Through all the times and all the distance, we have remained friends. I couldn't be more happy for him as Libby is such an awesome girl.

2. Tiffany and Mike

Tiffany's is Colleens sister-in-law and through Colleen, we became friends. She is hilarious!!! I finally got to meet Mike at the Belward wedding and I truly witnessed the love between Tiffany and Mike. They have set a date of October 2010.

3. Becky and Mike

Becky and I go way back. From soccer teammates when we were young to college buddies. we have shared a lot of good times. Mike is one lucky guy as Becky is a total sweetheart! 8-28-2010 is the big day! Oh and Mike totally surprised Becky and proposed while they were on vacation in Europe. How awesome, huh?!

4. Erica and Kevin

Erica and I met through Colleen. We have had a blast getting to know each other over the last few years. From late nights at West End to early morning and Bojangles, we always have fun together. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. And I have no doubt pearls will be included in some form or fashion. ;-)

5. Cathleen and Eric

Cathleen will always be Cathleena #2 to me. We go back to good ole days of soccer during high school. She was my "little sister". When her family moved away, I missed her so much. She is now back in NC and I can't wait to visit her at the beach and catch up on lost time. Eric is one lucky man!

We wish you all the best in your married life. Our hope is that you are as happy married as we are. May the Lord continue to bless you and watch over you!

All I want for Christmas is...

the Canon EOS Rebel XS / 1000D Digital SLR Camera

Be still my heart. Maybe one day you will find your way to my hands. Seriously, this camera is life changing. This could be my Christmas/Anniversary/Birthday gift all wrapped into one. I wouldn't mind. That's how much I love this camera!

Honeymoon Recap: Day 6

Day Six: Saturday, October 10 aka Lynsey's Birthday

On our last day we hated to say good-bye to the resort. We decided to partake in some traditional Jamaican fare at Margaritaville, but after being offered to smoke "gondcha" on the beach, we realized it was time to go home.
Lynsey is not a comfortable flier so a little turbulence did not go over well, especially considering it was her birthday. If a week's worth of pampering is not enough of a birthday present then I don't know what is.
Though a little sunburned and tired, I don't think either of us would have changed a thing.
